Bio
Influenced by her parents love of the crooners and the lush harmonies of the Andrew and McGuire sisters, as well as her own addiction to rock 'n' roll of the 70s-90s, and a later-blooming love for the story-song prose of country music, it's no wonder her songs have elements of all three genres. LaLa's love for music took her to Nashville at the age of 18 to attend the prestigious music school, Belmont University, where she acquired a degree in Music Business. Sidetracked by a career in journalism, LaLa eventually found her way back to her first love music. Now she spends her days writing and recording not only her own music, but has a successful career as a live and session background vocalist and demo singer.
LaLa has had cuts with several independent artists including Mike Short, Jr. of the CMT reality series, Sweet Home Alabama. You can purchase LaLa's latest single, Fighters, at https://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/lala-deaton/id583553816.
