Bio
Karmela Mudayatri Kartodirdjo, known to others by the name Lala, started her path in Music with the release of her album "Stars" under Warner Music Philippines in 2007. Her hit single "Waitin" was well accepted and has earned her a nomination for Best New Female Artist in Philippines' prestige Music Award in 2008. After spending three years in the Philippines, Lala returned to Indonesia to continue her music career, in Indonesia her stage name became Lala Karmela.
Lala released her second album in 2010 entitled ' Kamu, Aku, Cinta' under Sony Music Indonesia. Her hit single 'Satu Jam Saja' has successfully secured her position as one of Indonesia's brightest female talent. Lala has performed in various music festivals including internationally-acclaimed Java Jazz Festival, guested in many high rated TV shows, and became the brand ambassador for Coca Cola, Ponds, and Lux.
The singer-songwriter has just released her latest single from her upcoming third album entitled "Morning Star". In this album Lala works together with one of today's talent music makers in Indonesia, Joseph Saryuf. Her third album is due to be released this April under Sinjitos Records
