Marcus's Biography

Marcus Rap (Rapagnola) Multi-Platinum awarded. Composer/Producer/Mixer is a first generation Italian/American born January 25th, 1970 in Waltham Massachusetts. As the son of professional vocalist (Cynthia Rapagnola) and audio industry executive (Mario Rapagnola) who immigrated to America with very little, Marcus is no stranger to discipline and perfection. He was noted for his keen sense of hearing in grade school as his hearing test demonstrated “off the chart” frequency comprehension that out scored the entire nation. He has been a pianist/guitarist and vocalist from age of 8. From age ten to 16 he was in several garage bands and discovered at16-1/2 by world renowned producer Michael Jonzun (Brother of Maurice Starr). Marcus’s demo tapes were so impressively put together that Michael recruited Marcus to work as a staff engineer for Boston International Music in 1988 where he worked on New Kids On the Block, Tommy Page, Bernie Worell featuring Keith Richards, Herbie Hancock, Bootsie Collins, Steve Gadd. Marcus later teamed up with late rolling stones producer Jimmy Miller co-producing acts and show-casing to labels in 1990 where he briefly acted as Jimmy’s personal manager prior to his last HIT with Primal Scream in 1991. Marcus currently resides in Massachusetts and is co-writing with his wife Christine Rapagnola.
