Bio
Lamar Jay, singer & songwriter, was born and raised in Long Beach, CA. He was musically inspired at an early age from old school groups such as Earth Wind & Fire, The Ohio Players, Musiq Soulchild, Sade, as well as urban artist Nate Dogg.
After realizing he was going down the wrong road, Lamar decided to take his music career seriously. It was 2008 and Lamar was in constant trouble because of the wrong influences. Lamar, who is a God fearing person, felt as if God was trying to get his attention to focus.Since then Lamar has released three mixtapes; Therapy, Everyday Happy, and his latest, Devotion. Along with his team, better known as the CLVN (clan), Lamar's music has been featured on satellite radio (top 10 single, "Let Go"), mainstream radio, TV & film ("Mysterious Love" featured in the film "Lottery Ticket")
With his own sound, Lamar will continue to work hard to bring his music to the world.
