LAMONT SANDERS and ONE WAY move or permit movement in ONE direction… This gospel inspirational group is inspired by the word of God and love to spread his word through the ministry of music to reach saved and unsaved souls. Lamont Sanders & One Way is a family based group consisting of members: MINISTER LAMONT SANDERS, the oldest sibling, plays several instruments, lyricist, songwriter, producer, arranger, and entertainer who focuses on God and his ministry, as well as harbors a passion for remaining connected to the streets to save souls. “Our ministry is for the streets…those in the church are saved already....right? We (One Way... and all ministries we are associated with) have to be about Kingdom business.” RACHEL LIGHTSEY, the oldest sister of the group and hair stylist with an eccentric flare, brings out the family harmony with her rich alto voice. "We have to make sure that we present ourselves in Gods’ image... for we may be the only bible some people get to read." CLEVE LIGHTSEY, Lamont's younger brother and family comedian, is a one-man-band - he plays the drums, piano, arranges music, and in his spare time performs community outreach. "Our ministry and music is diverse and designed to save a multitude of souls... that is our goal." PATRICIA LIGHTSEY, the baby sister, social butterfly, and spiritually grounded, plays the flute, piano, and fills out the lead vocals with her soprano flare. "My passion for ministry is deeply embedded in my spirit and I believe generational curses can be broken through prayer, praise, and sacrifice." BRIANNA JORDAN, Lamont's god sister, loves music so much that she intends to pursue a career in sound engineering. She keeps her alto voice in top form by participating in a jazz choir. When it comes to fitting in with her peers and being consumed with sin, she says "I ain't goin to be able to do it." "BRYANT TOLES", younger cousin, instrumentally gifted... keeps the group's sound fresh at all times. "Music is my life.. Its what I do" Although they have been singing together all of their lives Lamont Sanders & the movement of One Way was officially launched in March 2005 and the ministry has been going strong ever since. “We strongly believe in family ministry, and we share this ministry everywhere God allows us to go.” God has blessed the group with numerous opportunities for their voices to be heard and their ministry to touch the souls of many. The group’s edgy and powerful sound places them in a class of their own. The group has performed in the Charlie Mack celebrity weekend with Will Smith, opened for Martha Munizzi, Tye Tribbett and GA, and toured with Michael McDonald to name a few. They travel from coast to coast, churches to street corners, with the same message, "God Saves"... and is not ashamed to tell it. Lamont Sanders & One Way performed the National Anthem for a Philadelphia Eagles home game. Most recently the group opened for Pastor Jamal Bryant, and was requested to open for Juanita Bynum. One of their most highlighted opportunities was performing for one of gospels greatest artist Pastor John P. Kee. One Way also participates in events such as Aids Awareness Benefits, prison ministry, and many other community efforts. Lamont states, "We all have a past...something in our lives that we are not proud of. Everyone has their own testimony that is unique to them. What we do share is the reminder that all God requires from us is time with him, a true relationship, and belief in your heart that you can change. Change is a process that doesn't happen over night, but does happen. No, we're not where we want to be...but thank God we're not who we used to be." One Vision…. One Mission …. ONE WAY
