Lamont Sanders and One way is a family oriented group which consists of lead singer Lamont Sanders and his siblings, Patricia “Dee,” Rachel, and Cleveland. The group’s formative years were based in the church through the influence of their parents. Lamont’s made his first stage debut at age five by singing the opening song for a Shirley Cesar concert.

Totally ignoring the call God had on his life, Lamont began to use his talent for secular entertainment. In his teen years he immersed himself into the “R & B” industry. He lived the life of a “rock star,” (“My Story”). He enjoyed this lifestyle for a few years and at one point he was even signed with Andre Harrell and Babyface of Interscope/Nu American Records. However, as much as he tried to ignore the tug on his life, Lamont could not, and eventually walked away from that way of life.

Lamont realized that God’s intention was to have a family orchestrated group and he declared to his siblings that he was not going backwards, and there was only one way to live. From this revelation the group Lamont Sanders and One Way was formed. The group has shared stages with Martha Munnizi, Michael McDonald, Kiki Sheard, Tye Tribbett,and had the privilege to perform at the Indianapolis Black Expo.

Lamont Sanders and One Way’s mission is straightforward; through their style of contemporary gospel music, they share their belief in family ministry, always making sure that their audience knows that God is real. This group is always striving for perfection and makes this apparent through their ministry.
