Subject: City of Pasadena's 5th Annual Northwest Renaissance Festival

Hello,
I am a Northwest Commissioner in Pasadena and also the Co-Chairperson of the Annual Renaissance Festival Planning Committee. I would like to share with you and your readers some good news going on in Northwest Pasadena.

On Saturday, August 19, 2006 the Northwest Programs Office of the City of Pasadena hosted its Fifth Annual Renaissance Festival at the Jackie Robinson Park in the City of Pasadena. The Festival was a big success. As many as 2000 people of all backgrounds came out to enjoy "Great Art, Great Music, Great People" and lots of fun. There were rides for the kids and activities for the adults. The event provided opportunities for our local youth, businesses and vendors to market their merchandise and also increase the awareness of the rich art, culture, history and diversity of Northwest Pasadena. In attendance was Mayor Bill Bogaard, Councilman Chris Holden, residents & friends of the City of Pasadena. Not only did the Northwest Pasadena open up doors for some of the best local musical talent to perform at this event, such as Brother Yusef, Nolan Shaheed, Lamour and the Mystik Band, Love Prospers and The Movement, but some well named artist such as the R&B Double Platinum group Rose Royce, Tommy the Clown, Lil Maxso, & Cuba Swift were also there to help make this event a memorable one.

Thanks for you consideration.
