Biography

"Landing Gear doesn't help you descend. Instead, this pop/rock quintet elevates you to an undiscovered stratosphere of shimmering pop beauty. Effortless, exquisite, indelible... "
-Las Vegas Mercury

Landing Gear's debut long-player is a stunning mixture of moody guitar textures, rock-n-roll exuberance, and acoustic nuance. Focusing on strong melodies and song craft- the band provides a hefty dose pop sensibility coupled with swirling atmospherics and raw emotion. Landing Gear's sound has been described as "combing emotion passion with powerful, disruptive rock verve..."

"Break-up Songs For Relationships That Never Happened" was recorded almost entirely by the band in their own Studio 9 basement bunker in Minneapolis over an exhaustive 14 month period. The recordings didn't completely gel until Landing Gear enlisted the talents of Bryan Hanna (Faux Jean, Papas Fritas) to put on final production touches and to mix at the Terrarium studio. The results are a distinctive, heady pop classic.

Landing Gear are a band capable of transporting the listener to a different time and space. As the lyric in the album closer "Atmosphere" states- "Open the door on the Atmosphere..." Open your ears to the wow and flutter of a band that never wants to come down.

"The five diverse elements of this efficient and harmonious band are what makes this quintet so unique and special."
-Losing Today
