Landscapes to City Lights

Landscapes to City Lights

We are a south coast pop-punk band who play songs that resemble the likes of Green Day and Blink 182. We create a fun, energetic and always memorable live performance. With our catchy guitar riffs and infectious hook lines we are a band that your summer should not be without.

Formed at the very start of 2008, a group of four young men decided to follow the common dream of playing in a band. After several changes to their original line-up and a few encounters with different styles of music mixed with their catchy hooks, infectious melodies and a high energy live performance that resembles Blink 182 and Green Day, but they didn’t know exactly what this would bring them.

2009 saw this young band writing new songs, performing at the Isle of Wight Festival, Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms and many other venues as well as recording their first EP ‘Time to Shine’. After having a valuable part of their band leave in early 2009, Landscapes to City Lights had a break to decide what they were going to do. And after many long discussions Dan, Tom and Tom came to the decision to carry on.

The spirits of Dan, Tom and Tom were at a low until Josh joined as lead singer and rhythm guitarist, since then they have been having the time of their lives writing songs that make you want to dance and sing along.

'More Uses For A Slightly Different Name' there brand new E.P was released on the 15th April 2010 with the hope to show what the new ‘Landscapes to City Lights’ have got and that we are here to have fun show our passion for music.

Landscapes have also entered a competition called Vodafone Live and Unsigned; in which over 10,000 bands fight for the chance to play in the grand final at the O2 arena and also the chance to obtain a 2 year management deal. After entering with not even a thought of getting anywhere close to the final, Landscapes have managed to pull off performances that have been one of a kind and managed to get through to semi finals of the whole competition. This means that not only are we one of the 360 bands left from over 10,000, but we are also only one good performance away from the ultimate Grand Final.

Hopefully they will be spending some time doing a small tour in the UK and take their music to a new level during summer 2010, and also a debut album to record for release around about Christmas time. Things are looking up for the Landscapes boys, with several shows already booked let’s hope that 2010 will bring about a new era for pop punk.
