Lanny Cox is a talented singer/songwriter//recording idiot savant/dispenser of good news currently residing in Stephenville, NL, Canada. In addition to singing/playing guitar in the noted Stephenville rock band Sliquid he has also been playing solo and with his live band "The Groove Monster".
"Lanny Cox's Comedy of Errors" is his 2nd self recorded/produced solo effort and is set for release in May 2007. Thematically based on the concept of different reactions to a catastrophic event, the upcoming album delves into new territory both sonically and musically while continuing on the acoustic-oriented path set forth by its predecessor "4 Songs To Write Wrongs". Lanny's hooky yet rewarding songwriting style is supplemented by pristine-sounding production and added instrumentation and harmonies on 9 tracks fusing such genres as indie rock, power pop, folk, and 60s psychedelia. Featuring a plethora of guest musicians, this album is a culmination of months of tireless work and is a fantastic display of Lanny Cox's newfound maturity and prowess in his craft.
