Bio

Bronx, New York early 1980’s
F.Dot was born October 11th 1985 in the Bronx county of New York. His birth was significant to the Hip Hop movement as his father Michael Warren better known as DJ Easy Mike of the historical, pioneering hip hop group: GrandMaster Flash and the Furious Five! Giving the name Rick James after pop star “Rick James” clearly stated to the world that F.Dot was an inhabitance of the 80’s Hip Hop & Pop culture movement.

Los Angeles, California
Hoodsta was born May 22nd 1982 in the infamous Compton section of LA. He also was birthed from a musician, but this time it’s his mother who’s in the movement. Deborah Chism was a back up singer for numerous successful R&B artist such as; Luther Vandross, Patti LaBelle and Chaka Khan to name a few.

As the 90’s unfolded and neither parents was provided a break from their hard work in entertainment, hard times fell upon the young men. Raised on separate coast of the United States but faced with the same socio- economic challenges as minorities in under resourced communities. With no clear direction on life, and unaware of each other’s existence, they coincidently started creating music in the same capacities. Fruity loops and gritty street rhymes about the struggle, daily issues and disbelief of thier life’s situation.

In 1995 Hoodsta moved to NY to live with his estranged father who developed a new relationship with F.Dot’s mother. Although no music collaboration was in existence, the relationship was established for F. Dot and Hoodsta to work in the near future.

Unfortunately, at the turn of the century, Hoodsta, back in LA, was sentenced to 18 months at Los Angeles County Detention Center for armed robbery. The incident put some distance between F. Dot and Hoodsta. Years went by as they voyaged on separate tracks of gang affiliation.

In 2007 they were reunited and the movement began! Forming a dynamic Hip Hop duo “LA/NY” complemented with excelled production skills and lyrical talent from their independent hustle as solo artist.
