Bio

Forming in 2006, Lapdance has become an emerging band from the underground scene in San Juan, Puerto Rico. What started out as an act of love for the five-piece has become a clear obsession.
Since then, with it's members working night shifts to barely afford themselves, the committed band continues to bring energetic performances to clubs and college campuses. The five friends have a great time connecting on stage with its audiences. Having only produced a 3 song home demo, Lapdance have reached a lot of international attention.
So far, in their short career, the band has played and toured with several local and international artists such as Circo, Beto Cuevas (La Ley), Vinyl, Bohemia Suburbana, Jumbo, from Latin America among other local acts. They also have been invited to play in international fests hosted by some prestigious brands such as Heineken, Scion, and Medalla.

The five-some also shot an ad with Heineken and Scion introducing their single “Mala Postura en NY” to the TV audience and local radio.

Lapdance influences are a diverse array of great artists and songwriters, from the Beatles to Kraftwerk, Television to Zoe, the whole Britpop movement to La Lupe.

Lapdance currently arrived from a Jack Daniel's Studio no.7 tour in the states who shared stages along with Beto Cuevas and among other friends. Currently Lapdance is recording their debut album “Mala Postura’’ independently in Odlanier Studios in San Juan and in “Koni’s Loft” in New York. Songs set to be released in late August of 2008.
