La Pump is an electro-pop performing producer hailing from Portland, OR. Her sound is a cross between vocal driven, emotional pop songs and melodic club jams brought about by way of synths, pads, strings, syncopated drum beats and a chorus of harmonic vocals that sing songs of love, loss, life, desire, surrender and inspiration. Inspired by instrumentation of bands such as The Knife, Depeche Mode, Prince, Ratatat and Queen, the lyrical style and classic song structure of Leonard Cohen, Elliot Smith and Rufus Wainwright, and the live performances of Stevie Nicks, Janet Jackson and Madonna, La Pump strides strong with songs that bridge driving energy and romantic grooves.
