Bio
Lara Lewis is a keys player who writes and sings melody-driven, upbeat rock-pop songs. She has been actively performing since 2006 as a solo act and in various bands. Lov Lavatic is her first full-length album of original material. It was recorded in Whitehorse, Yukon, with her favourite Yukon musicians.
The songs on Lov Lavatic range from the dirge-like guitar-distorted toms-heavy “Gonna Roll” to the dancey uptempo “Come On” to the bluesy Purdy shuffle of All My Thoughts. The album is a diverse crop of tunes with their own sonic thumbprints that fit together like a perfect salad.
Lara and her band (Lara and the Danz) are booking dates in northern British Columbia for their April 2018 tour of Yukon and British Columbia.
