"Detroit, MI Diva tsunami at Cliff Bell's -"

Last Sunday, there were so many divas at Cliff Bell's, it probably caused a vocal and sequin vacuum somewhere on the opposite side of the Earth. Singers Millie Scott and Ortheia Barnes performed a gig at the beautifully restored art deco club that packed in about 200 people. Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, Millie, who looked stunning, started inviting other singers, one by one, to join her and Ortheia on the stage. Singing Etta James' "At Last" (which was produced by the late great Harvey Fuqua ), they were joined by some of Detroit's most revered R&B divas (and divo), including, Kimmie Horne, Thornetta Davis , Lori King, Gwen Foxx , Sharon Jones (of Rumplestiltskin), Leslie and Keith Ferguson from Notorious, LaRae Starr and Gloria Ridgeway.
