Influences include in no specific order: Steely Dan, The Who, Betty Carter, Charlie Parker, Herbie Hancock, V.S.O.P. Quintet, Miles Davis Quintet, Kim Burrell, Beethoven, Debussy, Billy Holiday, the list is endless.
What sets us apart from any other band is that we play with such a conviction that demands attention. This can span from just a general consensus that "the band sounds really good" to captivating the audience and taking them with us on a journey.
The story is simple, I went to school with Lawrence at A&T...didn't really like the cat at first...became best friends and the rest is history....similar with Bernard...I showed up to a gig, thinking he couldn't play and after the first break, we were talking about how we had similar interests and goals musically...
