Bio

Larry Hannon takes the Western (Cowboy) genre to a sophisticated level unlike any other. Influenced by the Western Swing of Bob Wills, the Ballads of Marty Robbins, the songwriting of Willie Nelson and Cindy Walker, and the performances of Marty Robbins, The Sons of the Pioneers, Johnny Cash and Conway Twitty set the foundation for Larry's performances and selection of music.
A singer/songwriter of the old school, his songs carry a story line and purvay a message for all who listen. He has been critically acclaimed for his school performances and the impact they have on today's students.
His community concerts have been so well accepted that often times they are extended by at least half hour encores.
His private venues have been where he really shines. One constituent and long time friend goes so far to say that when you get him in an "up close and personal setting", that's when his great stuff comes out.
Larry was raised on a 12,000 acre Cow Ranch where his father was foreman for 20 years. His stories, annecdotes and jokes are from old hands and his dad. They were real life heroes that he projects to his audience. It's like stepping back in time when life was much more simple, and society moved a little slower.
Larry has been nominated for numerous awards for his songwriting, performances and CD's by the Academy of Western Artists, and the old Western Music Association.
