Moment of Truth

Written By: Larry T & the Apostrophes

Moment of Truth
Larry T & the Apostrophes 2007 KRS

There’s only a moment of truth in each of our lives
Sometimes the facts get joggled around and yet the results are the same

You’ll see me walking everywhere, but your eyes don’t see my size
I’m walking softly on the Earth, so my footprints aren’t left everywhere

There’s only a moment of truth in each of our lives
Sometimes we mess up in life and don’t realize what is going on until it’s too late

The best way to look at that moment of truth is like the ocean, the moon and the stars
A bit at a time
That’s the way to look at love is like the ocean
A little bit at a time

There’s only a moment of truth in each of our lives
For time will come when all shall see the Light and what we’ve done
To serve the hearts and minds of all mankind

The moment of truth records it all
From our helping hand to letting them fall
Life is actions and deeds

Deep down inside there’s just two things that we control
Just our attitude and how we behave
Saving lives or making slaves, you know
I’d rather be helping out
So help me God

My words are gifts that come to me from the powers in the sky
Take them as true love and try to sing my song
Sing sweet the song of life and love
Bring peace across the land
It’s time to take a stand

Look left
Act right
It’s really up to us

In the Moment

Pushed and pulled, tugged and torn and turned around
I don’t have anywhere I need to go
I’m lost inside a world of contradictions
Laughed at and mocked
I don’t have anything you see of value
But in the dark of night I have myself

I find a way to vent
Make my own repent
In this world of darkness
I am free

Wrapped up the sounds of Karen Ray
I feel the rhythm move me
Picks me up and takes me to a place
Where the times are soft
And I’m with the ones who make me happy
Nothing else matters but the beat of time

I find a way to vent
Make my own repent
In this world of darkness
I am free

Rattled and rolled
I have just one thing that I hold dear
It keeps me straight and takes me to the light
Comes a time the sun will rise
And I’ll go back from where I came
With nothing left to show except my songs

I find a way to vent
Make my own repent
In this world of darkness
I am free

Monsters and madness
They don’t mean a thing when I am playing
In my mind I’ve heard it all before
Made in peace and harmony
They play inside my mind as I drive on and on
Returning to my home

I find a way to vent
Make my own repent
In this world of strangers
I am me

Alone & Tired

“Alone and Tired

I am alone and tired, living a big city life far from home
Checked out of my hotel in the morning, caught a taxi with little warning
We drove uptown, downtown, just to get around town – didn’t know which way to go
My work is done for now, but I’ll be back in a little while
I’m a traveling fool for sure, but I’m ready for a break

I am alone and tired, on a sleek, fast train heading home
Bought my ticket at the station, switched trains once, like automation
I found the rail car with the bar and that is all it took
I quashed me down a few, then shared some gab and paid my tab
I watched the trees go by – I’m ready for a break

I am alone and tired, on a big ole plane heading home
In and out of consciousness on a 10-hour flight back home to Huntsville
Rustling papers, cabin sounds, whispers in the dark
I am almost home, I’ve been abroad, I worked it hard
This traveling life is rough – it’s really hard to take

I was alone and tired, on a big ole plane in the sky
I want to know why oh why

I was alone and tired, on a big ole plane in the sky
The plane was full and the crew was short, I got stuck in the middle seat
With Alabama calling me, and this is what I say
I am here to stay, I’ve seen the world and there’s nothing better
Than my little farm in Grant – that’s where I’ll make my break

I am here to stay, I’ve seen the world and there’s nothing better
Than my little farm in Grant – that’s where I’ll make my break

I am alone and tired, on a big ole plane

Free! I'm Free!

Free! I’m Free! by Larry T & the Apostrophes ©2008 Karen Ray Studios, Inc.

Free! Free! Free! Free!
Free! I’m Free! Free! I’m Free!
Free! Free! Free! Free! Free! Free! Free! Free! Free! Free! Free!

Have you ever been jammin? Maxed out? Refried from the inside out?

Shake it. Fake it. Make it what you will. Free! Free!

Have you ever tried to squeeze too much on your plate of things to do today?

Free! I’m Free! Free! I’m Free!

Do you ever wonder why the reasons you are sick and tired is because, without a doubt, you need to rest and recover vital energy?

Free! Free! Free!

Free! I am free! We are free!

Have you ever found a way to realize what it means to be as one with eternity?

Lost inside. No doubts.
Only hope for all humanity.

Peace and love – Blah! Blah! Blah!

Take a minute to reflect on where you are and where you're going.

Push the limit.
Fake it. Ache it. Make it live!
Wake it. Shake it.
You can break it for a thrill.
Take it. Remake it. Escape it in time.

Have you ever found a way to realize what it means to be as one with eternity?

There's a dark side - no doubt.
Hold on.

Take a minute to reflect on where you are and where you're going.

Free! Free! I’m Free!
Push the limit. Give it all it takes - never realizing that the end is near.

Take a second to imagine what it feels like to work hard - each and every day - all day. I’m Free! I’m Free!

I can't take it anymore - I can't take it any less. I'm not going to take it anymore. I'm just going to get out of here. I can't take it any more!

Shake it. Fake it. Mistake it for thrill. Take it. Remake it. Escape it in time.

Free! Free! Free!
Freeeeeeee!!!!

Shhh, Listen to Me

Shhh! Listen to Me!
(Working for the Man)
by Larry T & the Apostrophes ©2008 Karen Ray Studios, Inc.

Shhh! Listen to me!

You are what you are. You can’t believe what you see.
We are who we say we could be, but we can change the way we feel
And reveal that we're a little more alike than we would let you believe.

I can't tell you where I'm going. I can't tell you where I'll be. But I've seen the world from inside out. Working for the man. Understand. Living free.

It's the thing the network news won't show about the inner side of man in the best of days and the most of times - there's a common thread in man.

Be mindful, CNN - and you pundits on the air. The story on the ground is quite different when you're there. So don't believe the lies they tell just to watch their ratings rise. Form your own opinions - as best you may surmise.

I can't tell you where I'm going. I can't tell you where I'll be, but I walk the lines of danger. Working for the man. Living free.

Who we are and what we say we know. We do. We care. We can change the way we feel and people everywhere are more alike than we reveal.

I can’t tell you...I can't tell you where I'm going. I can't tell you where I'll be, but I've seen the world from the inside out. Working for the man. Living free. We can be free.

I can't tell you where I'm going.

(lead break)

I can't tell you where I'm going. I can't tell you where I'll be. But I've seen the world from inside out. Working for the man. Understand. Living free.
