Lars and The Hands of Light...
Huge national radio hit. Was immediately picked up by KCRW in Los Angeles and has been spinning on the legendary and very influential Morning Becomes Eclectic ever since. When released in Germany and Benelux during summer 2010 the debut also performed very well, and recently it was released in France by the esteemed Platinum Records and is playing on all the major national stations. Both the indie and mainstream channels. The album was released in late October and Lars went on promo tour doing live performances on France Inter, Oui FM, Le Mouv, Virgin, Radio Nova AND Europe 1.
When the 12" single of "Me Me Me" including remixes from super hot DJ Trentemøller, the electro legends from Laid Back (of "White Horse" fame) was serviced to the Fat Drop DJ service, the feed back was astounding - and not only for the remixes. Ûber DJ Laurent Garnier picked the album version as his favourite of the bunch, added it to his current top 100 and has been spinning it for months.
In short: "Me Me Me" is a tune you better give a listen if you haven't already. But don't believe the hype. Put the record on. Turn the volume UP!
Lars and The Hands of Light have so far toured extensively in Denmark, Germany and Benelux, and will tour France in December where the band is confirmed for the all important Transmusicales and Generik festivals. They played SPOT 2010 before summer and was one of the most praised new bands by international media. Lars and The Hands of Light deliver the goods live as well as on record.
