Lars Bremnes

Lars´music has roots in the nordic singer-songwriter tradition but with a modern approach. In his lyrics he is often looking for a balance between humor and melancoly. Since 1994 he has released 6 albums with his own material, and his album "Hjertekaptein"- ("Captain heart") won the Norwegian Grammy "Spellemannsprisen"2006. He has a small but dedicated audience and he tours with a four piece band or only with his guitarist and producer Georg Buljo.
Lars songs is often played in Norways most important radiostations; his song "fiolinan"(the violins) was the most played nowegian song in the radio 1997.
Although all the albums are in norwegian, he also writes in english. The song "Wandering round in circles" has reached the final round in "International Songwriter Competition" 2006.
Lars has grown up in a little fishing village in Northern Norway in a musical family listening to everything from Chopin to Simon & Garfunkle, Beatles and Joni Mitchell. He has also released two albums with his sister and brother Kari and Ola.
