Bio
Lars was born, bred and fed in Canada along the north shore of Lake Superior.
A lifelong music enthusiast, his influences have ranged and changed over the years. His record collection extends from The Beatles to John Prine to Frank Zappa.
He was a founding member of The Bloodhounds, who were a four piece rock band that wrote, recorded and performed in Toronto and Southern Ontario in the 90's.
After meeting and chatting briefly with Fred Eaglesmith, Lars was motivated to start writing, recording and performing after a ten year hiatus.
Recently he has released a cd of acoustic songs entitled 'Take 1'. All tracks were recorded live off the floor and the raw content of these recordings offer a slight glimpse into the musicianship and songwriting of this emerging talent. He is in the process of writing for another recording to be released soon.
Lars built a log home on his property north of Thunder Bay that is powered 100% by solar. He currently lives in Australia where he writes, performs live at pubs and cafes and slaves in the heat as a house carpenter. He'll be returning to Canada in July '08.
