"40th Annual Noel Night – Jingle Jam featuring LA Shaun phoenix Moore"

The 40th Annual Noel Night activities once again drew big crowds to the cultural center this weekend and the Detroit Association of Women Clubs was no exception. The DAWC hosted the Jingle Jam featuring performing artist La Shaun phoenix Moore. La Shaun and several other talented local performers entertained a revolving crowd of holiday revelers. Poetry performances by Dimonique Boyd, Thomas Williams, Cassie Poe and Jeff Nelson were among the many that entertained the crowds.

The ladies in the audience screamed like schoolgirls when singer Kenny Watson took the stage to perform. His soulful performance of some holiday classics including pop, blues, and classical renditions left the crowd wanting more. If popularity were measured in screams Watson would have certainly taken home top honors.

The evening performance closed out with La Shaun and her gorgeous trio of backup singers. They did a set of holiday classics and then Phoenix captivated the crowd with her version of “My Favorite Things”. Their final performance was a very tender rendition of a Temptations classic, “Silent Night”. It brought the house down as a sing-a-long ensued and the crowd showed their appreciation with a thunderous round of applause at the end. - SSWmagazine.com
