Biography

Lastonedone is an acoustically driven pop band with a California rock flare. It’s the California sound. California soul. Defined with an acoustic guitar and an eclectic blend of sounds and vocal harmonies. Hailing from Orange County, California, they embrace the ideals of youthful freedom and a sieze the moment attitude. Their live performances infect listeners with a feel-good and contageous optimism. They see themselves as songwriters who write with passion on topics of love, friendship, and the hope in living your dreams.
Lastonedone began as Singer/ Songwriter Isaiah Olsen sought to take his music to the next level and fulfill a youthful dream that he and a few very tallented friends from high school had once hoped for. In 2001,After making a four song Demo, Lastonedone had early successes; selling out venues in L.A., Orange County and San Diego. Praise from press and a rapidly growing fan base sparked the interest of management. Lastonedone was also entertaining talk with Epic Records. Sadly, the group fell short a member when bassist Josh Nichols decided to return to school on the east coast. In a city mostly known for its punk scene, the remaining trio had difficulty finding a replacement.

Amidst the demise of the group and clear focus of destination, Isaiah found himself collaborating with many different writers across the country and musical genres. Finally beginning to realize his sound and attitudes toward songwriting, Isaiah wrote a miriad of tunes that caught the interest of some veteran ears. After a few writing excursions to Nashville, Tenessee a number and name of a songwriter/producer back in California was offered. Following up on the reference, Isaiah met Danny Wilde, singer/ songwriter/ musician and producer for The Rembrandts, who had a fresh perspective on where the songs should go.

For singer/songwriter/guitarist, Isaiah Olsen, the name of his musical alter ego, Lastonedone, once more seems to fit his situation like a well worn shirt. The band has a new line up and the showecasing of his talent in a well produced format is finally being realized. The long awaited Lastonedone EP is here and Lastonedone is looking to be noticed near and far from its home base out of the place in Southern California, called The O.C. Produced by Danny Wilde and Dorian Crozier (The Rembrandts); The new six-song early promotional CD serves as a preview for Lastonedone’s upcoming full-length album.

Heart On My Sleeve

Heart On My Sleeve
Words and Music: Isaiah Olsen
c 2005

Everyday seems like things are gonna change
But it never does, just always stays the same
Yeah, when’s she coming back to me?
When your heart is wearin on your sleeve
That’s the time when they always seem to leave
Yeah, she’s already gone

I’ve been wonderin what to say
When she comes around me all I know is that…

I’ve been keeping secrets for way too long
Yeah, I’ve been in love with you right from the start

I’ve been hiding
My heart
For way too long

So when are you suppose to say it all
What’s the right time to make that call
There’s no sign on this road
My love for her’s like a storming rain
I stay dry to avoid the pain
Of wearin my love

I’ve been wonderin what to say
When she comes around me all I know is that

I’ve been keeping secrets for way too long
Yeah, I’ve been in love with you right from the start

I’ve been hiding
My heart
For way too long

Out of My Hands

Written By: Olsen, Keel, Wilde

Out of My Hands
Words and Music: Isaiah Olsen, Danny Wilde, David Keel
C2005

You said nothin about leavin, but I know that it’s been on your mind
and I feel that I am only dreaming when all I do is count the time
and I’ll be all right
six months ago I was ready to forget all that i’d been working towards
it seems like i’ve been forgeting less each time that you walk through my door
but i’ll be all right
don’t worry ‘bout me
i’ll be all right
I’m not gonna waist my time thinking that it’s all in my head, it’s not in my head
I wish you the best in life and hope that we can part friends.
it’s out of my hands
it’s outta my hands
it’s outta my hands
take none of my grief
take all of your needs and don’t forget your lies
took none of your advice and thank God I thought twice on all those lies you sold
but i’ll be all right
don’t worry ‘bout me
i’ll be all right

I’m not gonna waist my time thinking that it’s all in my head, it’s not in my head
I wish you the best in life and hope that we can part friends.
it’s out of my hands
it’s outta my hands
it’s outta my hands
to love you

Meant to Be

Meant to Be
Isaiah Olse and Danny Wilde
c 2005

She said she’s never been lonely, but lonely is emptiness when her happiness subsides.
she stares in the mirror the bruises seem clearer hear in the early morning light
pain is all we feel
desire makes it real
can’t put it out of your mind
we hide it were it doesn’t show
While neither of us can let this go
Baby, you found the part of me
That nobody else could ever see
I didn’t mean to make you cry
and it doesn’t help to question why

whatever is, is meant to be
whatever is, is meant to be

Don’t despise what you can’t get
you’re trying to forget what you can’t have this time
not this time
she’s wishing and wanting and wanting and wishing and what if wondering if it can’t be why. why?

It’s getting harder to conceal
the wounds that just wont heal
can’t put it out of your mind

chorus

bridge
things would turn out better
if you let me make it better
let me make it better
