Last Exit's history begins with London based guitarists, Reg and Rayne.
In October 2007 Reg and Rayne left the U.K and
headed for Los Angeles to form a band, armed with nothing but two guitars and a dream. In the first week of being in California, they began looking for a singer. Their search began and ended when they were introduced to Spence Decker. An Oklahoma City native, Decker has spent his time in Los Angeles writing and performing with local artists. After sitting for hours in a dark bar on Sunset Blvd. discussing their mutual love for bands such as Led Zeppelin, Pearl Jam and Buckley, they decided to begin writing together.
Over that weekend a flurry of creativity ensued and the trio wrote over 30 songs together.
Excited by their connection they began looking for members to complete the bands line up.
Matt Denis, a young bass player from San Diego who has proved himself as a talented and well seasoned musician in the local area.
The drummer position is filled by Anthony Antos a charismatic, hard hitting drummer from Michigan whose raw and innovative style along with Matts melodic, bottom heavy playing cements the bands rock roots.
Now with the bands line up secured, the five piece locked themselves away in a studio on Hollywood Blvd and began to focus on creating a well oiled machine.
With a melodic hard rock sound that is remenissent of the alternative rock music scene of the early 90's they soon established themselves as a band to look out for on the L.A live scene. With impressive shows at The Viper Room, The Cat Club and a month residency at Molly Malone's to name but a few the band ended a triumpht year with a show at the Key Club opening for the legendary Metal Skool with a 400 strong crowd turning out to see Last Exits last show of 2008.
Last Exit have a busy year ahead. The band are currently recording their debut album with acclaimed producer Peter Black. With a live dates planned in the summer, which will see them hit the Mid West and East Coast of America, the band look forward to taking their sound to a much wider audience.
