Bio
Adrian and James grew up together in Ballarat and have played music together for close to ten years. They settled as Last Five Days in late 2004 and began performing original music at the beginning of 2005.
The pair have developed a familiarity that can only be achieved by years of working together. Their sound has developed significantly as they have found a style and sound that is unique and recognisable. Melody-driven songs are supported by interesting guitar work, keys parts featuring Hammond organ, Wurlitzer, Rhodes and piano, and subtle vocal harmony. Regular guest vocalist Jane Hendry adds additional colour. While the pair share songwriting duties, they provide regular input into the other’s work. The influence of artists such as Dave Matthews Band, Radiohead, John Mayer, Elliott Smith, Tori Amos, The Beatles and Paul Simon can be heard, and sets often include a unique spin on an obscure cover.
Last Five Days place great importance on their live act - providing an intimate and inclusive performance.
