Bio

Two months after their milestone show headlining the Trocadero Theater in Philadelphia, mainstream modern rock band Lasting Factor presents their full-length debut CD 'City Lights'.

The band formed in 2003, after four friends got together with a vision to make music that collaborated their eclectic range of influences into a sound everyone could enjoy. The outcome produced modern rock songs that captivated audiences of all ages, led to multiple victories at area battle of the bands, and quickly developed a dedicated fan base. After 5 years of playing area shows and working hard to get their music heard, 2007 proved to be the breakout year for Lasting Factor. In June, the group headlined the Trocadero Theater in Philadelphia for a crowd of 500+ people. They followed that up with the release of their first full-length album "City Lights" in August.

Recorded and produced completely by the band in their home studio, "City Lights" contains 11 songs that capture the dynamic range of the band. Lead off tracks 'Straight Fall' and 'Back to the Start' show that Lasting Factor has taken a 3-minute modern rock track and infused their blend of artistry and commercial appeal. Keep the disc spinning, and the hard-rocking 'Riverside', reflective 'Hideaway', driving 'Badlands', and southern-tinged 'Bella' confirm that "City Lights" is more than a collection of 11 identical songs.

Radio 104.5 (WRFF) has recently featured Lasting Factor as one of the premier local bands in Philadelphia. 'Straight Fall' has received multiple spins on the air and the guys performed 'Bella' live on the air from the clear channel performance space.

Frontman Sam Serinsky electrifies the crowd with a one-two punch of lead vocals rooted in blues and southern rock, and well-crafted riffs on lead guitar. The rhythm section of Lasting Factor is held together by Derek Slifer on drums, Greg Brander on bass guitar, and Ryan Benton on rhythm guitar. Delivering a smooth attack, behind a solid groove, the band is known by fans as one of the tightest bands around.

Lasting Factor has performed on multiple occasions at Trocadero Theater and played at other landmark venues in the Philadelphia region including World Cafe Live, The Khyber, Commerce Bank Amphitheater, and the Nail in Ardmore, as well as playing shows at many colleges and universities including Penn State Main Campus, Lehigh University, Ursinus College, and West Chester University.
