"premiere: lastlings, unreality EP"

The first five track EP from brother, sister duo Josh and Amy Dowdle is a velvety experience awash with dreamy vocals and sadly beautiful synths and beats. For a young band (Amy is still in high school!), the songs reveal an incredible maturity and depth. Described as "a summary of the first few months" of the band, their intention with Unreality is to take listeners to a place that is surreal yet familiar.

Largely self-produced and recorded, with production assistance from Govs, aka Josiah Birrell, we imagine these guys will be as successful at starting a dance floor as they will be at providing bedroom soundtracks to deep moments and teenage heartbreaks. - i-D (vice)

"Lastlings - Chills"

I'm going to make a very obvious pun here: LASTLINGS' new single "Chills" gave me chills. Yep, I went there.

A brother and sister duo from the Gold Coast in Australia, 15-year-old Amy and 21-year-old Joshua Dowdle show that sibling relationships don't have to be dysfunctional.

Their debut single "Verona" appeared on SoundCloud only four months ago, and they have built a rather beautiful sound over their three releases.

Australia has been a go-to for music of late, forging its own unforgettable style, and this track is no exception. Produced by GOVS, I can hear a little bit of surf-pop edging into the mix of ambient, dream pop sounds -- subtle, twinkling melodies glide over each other, coating muffled kick drums, strummed guitar lines, and all the while being held together by Amy's mesmerizingly breathy vocal.

I'm a fan. - Indie Shuffle

"Lastlings - You"

If you're in need of a heart-rendering track with futuristic production, look no further, because brother-sister duo LASTLING's newest one, "YOU", has got you covered. Similar to previous efforts "Verona" and "Wavelength", the song has the perfect blend of haunting, chillwave components and an incredibly emotional and soothing vocal part, and it more than gives us reason to pay attention to whatever they put out next. - HillyDilly
