Last Mile is a Seattle-based funky, punky jazz quartet full of high energy and unique style. Last Mile is comprised of four hard-hitting musicians who are by no means new to the Seattle music scene. With legendary Hammond aficionado Joe Doria showcasing his Wurlitzer keyboard skills, Farko Dosumov on the low-end electric bass, the incredible Dvonne Lewis on drums and golden boy Dave Carter on trumpet, this 4-piece ensemble produces an original and creative sound that effortlessly spans versatile musical moods. Last Mile's powerful style leaves audiences alike enthralled and yearning for more.
This latest project is one comprised of all original pieces which uphold a nice "live" vibe and feel. A balancing act between groove, free-jazz, and the traditional. The goal is to produce, compose, and arrange an album that allows free-flow of the artistry and improv mastery these incredible players have to offer.
