In the burgeoning music scene of Colorado's Front Range, musicians often cross paths with each other, becoming friends and fans of each other. They often talk about wanting to get together to play and maybe start a new band. Often these desires fall by the wayside as other responsibilities and the pull of established projects take of the majority of available time.
The members of Last Planet are four such musicians, who have known each other for years, had the chance to jam or work together briefly, but up til recently have been too busy to initiate a new venture (drummer Chris Sheldon has been busy touring nationally with Phish tribute band, Phix.) In 2005 previous projects started to loosen and the four found themselves with the opportunity to make it happen. The results were quick and decisive - the chemistry was readily apparent - and the songs started to pour out. New songs, old songs with new life, mixed together to form a solid foundation that this band is ready to leap from.
