Since its beginnings in 1997, Last Train Home has evolved from a part-time band in Washington D.C. to a full-time touring unit based out of Nashville.

Named Washington D.C.'s "ARTIST OF THE YEAR" in 2003, Last Train Home went full-time the same year. Its frontman, Eric Brace, is a former staff writer for The Washington Post where he was a music columnist covering the local music and nightlife scene. Brace has played in several Washington area bands, including B-Time, the Beggars, and Kevin Johnson & the Linemen. He ran a local rock label, Top Records, for many years, before focusing on his own music.

The band has played more than a thousand shows over the years, including tours of Australia, Germany, Switzerland, and the Virgin Islands.

The latest CD, "Six Songs," was released on the Red Beet Records label that Eric founded in 2006. With six full-length recordings under its belt, along with a Christmas EP and another collection of cover tunes, Last Train Home is a prolific band that gets better with each passing release. With no signs of slowing down, Last Train Home is one of the most dynamic and compelling bands on the landscape of American music.
