LATEBLOOM

LATEBLOOM

BandAlternativeSinger/Songwriter

• The sound is EuroRock/Underground, Rootsie /Folk stripped down, with a hint of Psychedelia. It’s edgier than singer/ songwriter, and more in depth than your average rock… like a butterfly dropping an Atomic Bomb.

Biography

“Analog Mind in a Digital World” is the theme that Philadelphia based, LATEBLOOM adopted for their new release, The Hovercraft Diaries. Written, recorded, produced, and performed by Singer/Songwriter/Producer Lance Davis (formerly of SHELTONDAVIS), guitarist Chris Horne and bass help from Ric Tutlo. LATEBLOOM possesses a raw, pure energy with a sassy sound and a positive message.
-'Between assuming the glam thrills of T.Rex, Ziggy Stardust-era Bowie, and the rockabilly fearlessness of X, LATEBLOOM sneaks in some equally brave balladry. They’re a band whose respectable forerunners are carved in stone, towering figures like Morrisey and Bob Dylan sharing table space with Goth and Industrial subscribers like Sisters of Mercy, The Cure, and Front 242. The pop-ier moments on the Hovercraft Diaries unearth other influences, ones you can’t help but think the bands members weren’t aiming for.' –Michael Pollock(Out and About magazine)
The sound can be described as Eurorock/underground, Rootsie /Folk stripped down, with a hint of Psychedelia. It’s edgier than Singer/Songwriter but deeper than your average rock... like a butterfly dropping an Atomic Bomb. Lance also performs solo acoustic which is equally powerful and sometimes more compelling.

Lance Davis - a self-taught Singer/Songwriter/Producer/Artist, has been pursuing Music and Art for 15 years, touring parts of Europe and throughout the U.S....opening for such acts as The Cult, Cycle Sluts from Hell and has worked with NYC Crush managements, Jonathan Daniel (Butch Walker, Gilby Clarke). In the mid-late 90’s, he spent most of his time focusing on songwriting, visual art, business pursuits and sharpening his recording/producing skills. Since then, Lance has produced and recorded many underground Indie releases such as:

Lyrics

XO

Written By: Lance Davis

Cheers to all the lonely souls…Hey, hey, hey.
It’s good to be alive, The Sun is shining bright.

It’s alright be strong, it’s good for the soul…uh, huh, huh
Maybe you’ll luck out and get to know yourself.

-Today I got your letter
-I think I’ll save it for later…

I’m feelin’ good cause I don’t need nobody…yeah, yeah, yeah
I’ll never give in to loneliness again.

Just give me a drum, a vibe, a horn that cries…Bah, bah bah
If it makes you feel alive, it makes me feel alright.

-I finally read your letter
-So it seems you’ve had bad weather
-Let me ask you this, why can’t he make you feel better?
-Cause you know it’s me that can handle whatever.

Oh baby I hate to see you down
And I’d love to pick you up
But you see, I’ve got no hands
Cause you tied them up

I hope you understand
That I would give you my heart
But baby I just can’t
Cause I left it there with yours.

KILLING TIME

Written By: Lance Davis

Killing time, takin’ up space
Oh my God, I miss your face
Falling in Love or should we say
Infatuation – Seduction game
It always leads to a bitter end
Sure my Luv we can be be friends
But we both know how that story goes
In other words we can’t let go – so…

I’m Killing time, takin’ up space
Oh my God, still miss you your face
This town’s too small for you and me
And you can’t go, so I guess that means me
Like we said we can still be friends
I’d rather not ‘cause I just pretend that…
I don’t Love you and It ain’t true
And I’ve got better things to do
…And so do you

-Everybody’s got that special someone
that they just can’t seem to forget(x2)…& that’s you babe for me

Baby I can’t get you out of my mind.

Sea Sky and I

Written By: Lance Davis

Say hello to the part of me that’s breaking down so I can feel love and get back to me.
Sometimes you got to go it alone just to see what it is you’re running from – trust, it will set you free.

The only sea, the only sky
It’s only me tonight

On and on and on it goes, the war between the flesh and soul tonight – it’s got me down on my knees.
And run thru shades of blue and sane just to stay up on a higher plane – it’s a must…just run to me

The only sea, the only sky
It’s only me tonight.

And I wake up to the morning Sun and it speaks to me like
the Chosen One - oh luv just say to me
Say you love me, say you love me, say you love me
I want to see it in your eyes.

The only sea, the only sky
I wanna see you tonight
The only sea, the only sky
It’s only me tonight
