Bio

“Analog Mind in a Digital World” is the theme that Philadelphia based, LATEBLOOM adopted for their new release, The Hovercraft Diaries. Written, recorded, produced, and performed by Singer/Songwriter/Producer Lance Davis (formerly of SHELTONDAVIS), guitarist Chris Horne and bass help from Ric Tutlo. LATEBLOOM possesses a raw, pure energy with a sassy sound and a positive message.
-'Between assuming the glam thrills of T.Rex, Ziggy Stardust-era Bowie, and the rockabilly fearlessness of X, LATEBLOOM sneaks in some equally brave balladry. They’re a band whose respectable forerunners are carved in stone, towering figures like Morrisey and Bob Dylan sharing table space with Goth and Industrial subscribers like Sisters of Mercy, The Cure, and Front 242. The pop-ier moments on the Hovercraft Diaries unearth other influences, ones you can’t help but think the bands members weren’t aiming for.' –Michael Pollock(Out and About magazine)
The sound can be described as Eurorock/underground, Rootsie /Folk stripped down, with a hint of Psychedelia. It’s edgier than Singer/Songwriter but deeper than your average rock... like a butterfly dropping an Atomic Bomb. Lance also performs solo acoustic which is equally powerful and sometimes more compelling.

Lance Davis - a self-taught Singer/Songwriter/Producer/Artist, has been pursuing Music and Art for 15 years, touring parts of Europe and throughout the U.S....opening for such acts as The Cult, Cycle Sluts from Hell and has worked with NYC Crush managements, Jonathan Daniel (Butch Walker, Gilby Clarke). In the mid-late 90’s, he spent most of his time focusing on songwriting, visual art, business pursuits and sharpening his recording/producing skills. Since then, Lance has produced and recorded many underground Indie releases such as:

*Ed Spacer (Boston, MA) – Can’t get Ed out of my head (1997)
*Carnelian (San Francisco, CA) – Passing through (1999)
*Lucky (NYC) – Wave your G (2001)
*Transgressions (Wilm, DE) - Lo-Fi Bass Explorations (2001)
*Shelton Davis (Philadelphia, PA) – Bittersweet and low (2003)
*LateBloom (Philadelphia,PA) – The Hovercraft Diaries(2006)
*Betty's Bones (Harrisburg, PA)-- Uh-Oh E.P.(2006)
*Alex Radus (Philadelphia, PA) -- Love me like you hate me (2007)
