"Late Night Radio in Manchester"

"...they play an amalgam of styles that can be best described as bluegrass swing with major jazz overtones. Their combination of excellent instrumentation and vocals made for very easy listening. The arrangements of old blues, bluegrass and swing jazz standards revived tunes written before the rock era."

- Hippo Press, Manchester, NH.

"Late Night Radio in Merrimack, NH."

Special guest “Late Night Radio” provided the foot-stomping, knee-slapping portion of the show.. energizing the crowd with their original arrangements of bluegrass and country songs. A real hit with the audience.”
- The Union Leader, Manchester, NH.

"Late Night Radio in Dublin, NH."

“You packed the place, I haven’t had a crowd like this for a while. And the audience loved you guys. Let me know when the new CD’s done, we’ll have you back soon.
- DelRossi’s Trattoria

"LNR at Amazing Things, Framingham, MA."

“ I searched the Boston Bluegrass Union’s website for bands, and there were a lot to choose from. Late Night
Radio was the most the one that impressed me the most of any there. They are a great band.”

Bio

Since 1999, Late Night Radio, has been entertaining New England audiences with their mix of traditional & modern bluegrass, vintage country, and acoustic swing.
The band name recalls times when, late in the wee hours when stars shine and the moon is low, if you got that transistor radio turned just right, you could hear great old tunes and new alternative music that just aren't played on pop airwaves...that is the music Late Night Radio plays.
Now we have the internet, thankfully, where you can find all kinds of music that defies categorization. We take those tunes and adapt them to the bluegrass acoustic instrumentation process. Then give them fun arrangements. Diane also writes her own songs, both bluegrass and "other".
When we play general audience venues, we always include enough easily recognizable cover tunes to keep them happy. Also, we gauge the age of the crowd and tailor sets (within reason) to appeal to them. Diane also performs kids music, so we have plenty of those songs we can pull out to entertain family audiences.

Diane Kordas & Late Night Radio are members of the NH State Council on the Arts Touring roster and the New England Foundation for the Arts. This selection process involved a review of Late Night Radio's shows and customer relations, insuring that performances are up to their high standards. The Council and Foundation offer funding assistance through grants to nonprofit organizations that want to present a show.
