La noche del 17 de marzo en el FIA 2012 fue larga y cerca de las 11 de la noche las personas estaban cansadas, pero no tenían idea de lo que se iba a venir en minutos, un concierto que sorprendió a propios y extraños.
Cuando Camilo Patiño y la gente de “La Toma” tomó el escenario no solo se adueñó de él, se adueñó de La Sabana entera, el expresar “No nos conocen, pero nos van a conocer” en horas de la tarde fue una epifanía de lo que iba a suceder.
Desde la primera canción puso a bailar a todos los presentes que se les olvidó la hora que era, dando un saludo y diciendo “El que espera mucho desespera, pero después que desespera viene lo bueno”.
En serio que se vino lo bueno, nadie pudo dejar de saltar y bailar al contagiarse de la actitud de los colombianos con éxitos que pocos conocían pero que sin duda les quedó en el alma y la garganta como dice unas de sus canciones.
Canciones como, “Llevo el alma en la garganta”, “Más gente como tú” y “¿Qué pasa en casa?” hicieron que todos cantaran y corearan las canciones inmediatamente al estar cargadas de ritmos tropicales y ska fusionados con rock.
Al acercarse la media noche ya sin duda dominaron al público costarricense y fue cuando dieron la sorpresa de presentar a un cantante invitado bien conocido por todos, Giovanni Durán cantante de Guato lo que causo que todos se entregarán aún más a este grupo colombiano que conmocionó La Sabana en una noche llena de baile y sorpresas. - LA NACION (Costa Rica)

LA TOMA is a Latin rock band from the city of Medellin (Colombia) that DNA is carrying a message loud and clear ... "The claim of music as art and as a profession."
Formed in 2006 by eight young people living music as his profession, began this odyssey giving the result the first album called "Que Pasa en Casa" (What Happens at Home), which is working to reach an interesting position in the major cities of country.
This work have songs like "Llevo el Alma en la Garganta" (I have the Soul in the Throat) and "Que Pasa en Casa" (What Happens at Home), songs that achieve a high turnover of more than 6 consecutive months (each one) on the radio station's most important rock city Medellin and the video for the song "Más Gente Como Tú" (More People like You) manages to be more rotated within the last year in cities across the country, managing to captivate even several political candidates in their election campaigns, who used this song as a flag to campaigns through the social message it contains.
It´s important to emphasize the responsibility of an artist on stage, having the opportunity to present their ideas and deliver a message in his songs, which is why taking responsibility LA TOMA accompany their music with lyrics that not only fun but leave something to think.
In this 2012, after achieving significant results with our first album, brought to market uor 2nd album called "Entreviendo", record that comes to life after several years of research, which manages to mix Rock, as platonic love but not belongs to its roots, with genres we grew up, like cumbia, merengue, salsa, cuban son, among many others that are part of Latin American culture and which we are identified in all the world.
