Thanks again for putting on a fantastic show headlining the jazz stage at the Rock Around The Block. It was interesting to see the number rock & country musicians who gravitated over to the jazz stage to enjoy to your unique musical stylings.
I would also like to thank you for having the flexibility to start
early for the band before you who didn't show up. You really "saved the day!"
I look forward to booking you for next years event, so keep August 27, 2005 open.

Bio
The Laura Bayliss Group was formed in may of 2002 and is led by co-leaders Laura Bayliss and Don Quackenbush.
The band is well know throughout the mid-west and in three short years has already played such venues as Caroline's Jazz Club in Milwaukee, WI, The Braxton Jazz Club in Oakbrook, IL, The United Center in Chicago, The Crown Plaza, Basie's Jazz Club in Madison, WI, to name a few.
The group has also done work in California and featured performances at sea with a the Holland America Cruise Line.
Laura Bayliss is an accomplished pianist & vocalist. She is also a veteran compser, arranger & performer. Her influences include Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald as well as pianists Eliane Elias and Errol Garner. Although well versed in many genres of music, Laura's life-long love for jazz has given birth to "the Laura Bayliss Group".
Don Quackenbush, a jazz veteran from he northern Illinois has played everything from blues to swing. His influences include Gene Krupa, Jo Jones, and Buddy Rich. Don has worked with such artists as saxophonist Richie Cole, Ron Model of Northern Illinois University, and has played with several big bands including the Madison Jazz Orchastra and the Buddy Rich Band.
Jestin Korleski is a bassist and guitarist who hails from southern Wisconsin and is equally at home whether playing jazz or rock. He is well-versed on several instruments, including both the electric and acoustic bass. Jestin has also performed with many groups on several different instruments and has done a wide variety of studio work on the instrument end and on the songwriting and composing end.
