"Sirens Album Review in Sonic Seducer Magazine (2/2015)"

„Plan Of Attack“ dagegen gemahnt mit massiver Stromgitarren-Power gar an Black Rebel Motorcycle Clubs „Berlin“.

"Dark Pop Princess Laura Carbone New Video “Swans” by Deathbypopblog"

The album that could have been the soundtrack to Blue Velvet or Twin Peaks with its dark melodies and a twist of 80s/90s dark wave pop. The production and song writing on this album is oustanding. Laura and her musical partner/producer Bonassis having worked on the album in their local Mannheim studio… Dark things do come from dark places like depressing Manchester in the 80s which produced the likes of The Smiths and Joy Division maybe its time for Mannheim to shine. - deathbypopblog

"PRESS PLAY: LAURA CARBONE – VIDEO PREMIERE (Kaltblut Magazine)"

Taken from Laura’s debut album Sirens, released earlier this year, “Heavy Heavy” shows us the dark side of pop. Looking like she walked straight out of a David Lynch movie set, the seductive Laura entices with her sharp lyrics, dark melodies and a twist of 80s/90s dark wave pop from the gospels according to PJ Harvey, Laura Branigan and Chris Isaak.
Once the lead singer from Germany electro-punk outfit Deine Jugend, Laura’s debut solo album Sirens is a clear musical awakening with stand out tracks like “Heavy Heavy”, “Swans” and “Stigmatized”. This album brings a freshness which is unparalleled to the chewing gum rock ‘n’ roll scene.
Working together on her album with her producer Bonassis (formerly a member of death metal band Pyogenesis and Liquido) in Audio Drive studio near Mannheim, Laura has developed her style with an honesty and maturity taking in all her own influences. Sirens represents the mythological beauty and danger with a strong sense of feminism which becomes a much fitting title for this piece of work. After her experiences with Deine Jugend and the naivety of her youth in the music industry, Laura herself supported this entire project with a very successful crowdfunding campaign to keep her independence as a true artist.
