LAURA COZAR
Laura Cozar is one of the most dynamic young female voices to emerge from the new generation of Spanish talent. Her vocal color is reminiscent of classic icons Rocío Durcal & Paloma San Basilios but with a modernized edge and a beauty and an on-stage/off-stage charisma that is unparallel. Laura is a native of the small town of Ronda located in the south of Spain. She began singing as a child in church choirs, School Theater & musical events, family gatherings and even at the request of singing a Capella on the spot. She continued to garner vocal experience throughout high school.
Shortly after high school, she moved to Madrid to seek greater opportunities within the industry. Some notable events included the casting for Mecano, The Musical where she was selected as one of the finalists. After a few short years in Madrid she was determined to come to the United States to expand her career exponentially.
Once landing in Miami, she quickly garnered recognition for winning first place on several vocal competitions including Sábado Gigante (Univision Network) international vocal contest, La Descarga con Albitacontest amongst others.
The real turning point to her career was when Grammy songwriter Jorge Luis Piloto and the collaboration of Grammy songwriter/producer Sergio George took interest in Cozar and decided to generously have her record the two commercially viable tracks presented Que Dolor Que Pena & Por Que Vine a Fijarme en Ti.
Her next stop....on the way to record an entire album. Laura is in this for the long haul
heart and soul.
