"Ministry Review"

"I am happy to recommend Laura for music and speaking ministry. She ministered so
effectively by being totally submitted to the Holy Spirit and focusing on the Lord first. She
has a great testimony that will impact people's lives and help give them the hope that is only found in Jesus Christ."

"Ministry Review"

"Thanks for your willingness to come to our coffeehouse and minister. It was by far our best evening yet! People could not stop talking about you and the whole evening on Sunday. Equally was the time we had personally to get to know you. You have a wonderful gift and ministry. I know that God is going to continue using you incredibly--and even more so. It comes across loud and clear that it is definately "not about you," but all about
Jesus. Keep it up!

"Singer/Songwriter Laura Hawthorne to perform free pop/rock concert for Magee Rehabilitation patients"

New York City area singer/songwriter Laura Hawthorne will perform a free rooftop concert at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital on Saturday, August 5, 2000 from 3-5pm. Laura was impassioned to do a concert for Magee patients in dedication to her brother, Jay, who is a patient at Magee. Jay suffered a severe spinal cord injury in an on-the-job accident at a construction site in Delaware in April 2000.
Laura Hawthorne performs throughout the New York area, and has headlined at such venues as teh Bitter End and Maxwells in Hoboken, NJ. She is a featured National Anthem singer for the New York Mets at Shea Stadium.
According to the Village Voice, "What sets her apart from hundreds of other artists out there is her voice. She brings a spiritual theme to her music which adds depth without taking away from mainstream accessibility."

"Spectacular Entertainment"

Laura Hawthorne's extraordinary range extends well into the realm of country, gospel, rock and pop music. Originally from Wilmington,DE., Laura has made a name for herself among Manhattan's brightest musicians. You may have been lucky enough to have caught her stirring rendition of the Star Spangeled Banner at New York's Shea Stadium, or perhaps seen her open for recording artists Pam Tillis, Marty Stuart, Lee Ann Womack and Keith Urban.
In 2001, Laura, along with the New York Mets, created the 1st Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Day.
In honor of her brother, Jay, who became a ventilator dependent quadriplegic as a result of a construction accident on April 6, 2000, Laura performed a pre-game concert for Jay as her was honored on the field. - Star Spangeled Spectacular

"Bethany Village Fellowship"

"I sincerely hope we can lure you away for another Sunday to worship His majesty and learn from your faithfulness...not just in leading but in your faithfulness to listen to the Holy Spirit's leading. That is found only in those who walk in His annointing, and you are drenched in His overflowing oil of hearing ears, and a sensitive heart. You were a worship leader, one ear towards heaven and one towards God's children. You created a space where we were drawn towards heave's realm. In 25 years of ministry I've witnessed such affinity with the Holy Spirit on just a handful of occasions."

The Lord called me to ministry.
I am a professional vocalist and sang in NYC for 11yrs. Now, I am a worship leader, speaker, and soloist for many different events.
I travel to minister in churches, revivals, coffeehouses, women's meetings, conventions...ect.
I have extended live and studio experience and have had local and regional airplay on country and Christian radio stations.
Some larger events include:
Dutchess County Fair (opening for Country Artists Pam Tillis, Lee Ann Womack, Keith Urban)
Shea Stadium (National Anthem Singer for NY Mets 10yrs ~ Solo Pre-game concert for 1st Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Day in honor of my brother, Jay, who is a ventilator dependent quadriplegic)

I was called to serve the Lord with my gifts and since I've listened to Him, doors have opened where they never did before!
I sing to encourage others and am grateful for the voice the Lord has given me.
