"SNAFU!"

"As for Laura Imhoff, I met her in Kerrville a few weeks back in a rainstorm and she sang a song for me that tore my heart a new one. A warm, quavering voice and great lyrics. She sings like she's sitting in a midwest kitchen, shelling peas and waiting for the Saturday night line dancin' down at the grange hall, where she'll get to see Bobby git drunk and cut in a fight. She knows she's going to have to drive him to the emergency room, so she's choosing which towel to drape across the back seat now while she sings to the new kittens sunning themselves through the screen door. Shelling peas, singing beautiful songs to nobody, and looking forward to dealing with the vagaries of men..." - David Morreale (singer/songwriter and host of the Waterfront Hotel's SNAFU.)

Bio

Laura Imhoff first picked up a guitar several years ago and since then has taught herself to play with a unique style. Her style of playing is energetic and uplifting; a mixture of Ani DiFranco and local artist, Ryan Montbleau. But nothing compares to the voice of Laura Imhoff, a voice with soul, some say that it sounds like Joss Stone, Norah Jones, with a flare of Stevie Wonder.
She grew up on a small farm in Massachusetts and now lives in the city of Boston. Along with playing her guitar and singing her heart out, she is a student at The Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University. Laura began playing out at the Capo’s open mic in Lowell, MA, which led to opening new doors in her music career. Since then she has played at many small venues.
Music is a large part of her life. She uses music as an outlet; this is quite recognizable in her lyrics. They are full of emotion and feeling and are influenced by the people and what is going on in her own life. And more importantly, she loves nothing more then to share that love with the people that surround her.
