Comedy show gets laughs out of Team Andersen

2/24/2009 - ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam -- The Laura Park Comedy Group brought out its bag of laughs for about 150 Team Andersen members during a free comedy show at the Top of the Rock Hightides Feb. 21.

Stand-up comedians Sean Ottey, Dan Moore, Laura Park and Wiley Roberts also performed a show at U.S. Naval Base, Guam Feb. 20. The Laura Park Comedy Group was brought to the island by Armed Forces Entertainment.

"[I had] a great time," said Staff Sgt. Michael Barber, 36th Logistics Readiness Squadron logistics technician. "The show was so good, the comedians had the whole room going. It was a really fun experience."

Laura Park’s infectious humor and memorable characters are a hit with audiences around the world.

Sony Pictures Entertainment’s features her as a hot emerging talent, a star of tomorrow.

Laura has performed on The Wanda Sykes Show and The Comedy Time Network and was featured in “Best of the Fest” at the Calgary Comedy Festival. Her comedy has aired on Sirius Satellite Radio and National Lampoon Radio. Her critically acclaimed solo-show “Park-n-Ride” has toured the country and was performed in the New York International Fringe Festival.

Laura is an award winning filmmaker. She wrote, directed, edited, and stars in the short film “Pump Action!” which won the Boston Comedy Festival Film Competition. Her writing credits include projects for FOX Television and Playboy Television.
