Laurelle & Alexander are a beautiful new dream-pop due from Vancouver, Canada. Unsurprisingly, the duo consists of... yup, you've guessed it; Laurelle and Alexander! They are signed to Boom Ting Recordings, a relatively new label founded in 2010 by the legend that is Jakwob (AKA James Jacob).
The pair have described themselves as 'hippies with computers' which would’ve been an awesome name in its own right! They've been slowly but surely building a nice back catalogue of dreamy pop music and have just dropped their debut EP 'Life Underwater', released on 28th November 2012. This is a completely free release in response to hitting 500 likes on Facebook so get it while you can. The EP consists of five stunning original tracks and three remixes and will leave you floating somewhere above the multiverse with very little to tether you to the real world!

Laurelle & Alexander are a talented duo who have recently made Vancouver their humble abode. Signed to Boom Ting Record, these guys have been making blissful magic together for the past two years. Putting out amazing tracks like “Life Underwater” and “Moon Kids,” the ethereal voice of Laurelle, paired with pop-inspired instrumentals make for an interesting listen from start to finish. Recently I have been extremely impressed with Boom Ting Records growing collection of artists. Not only do they have producer gods Etherwood & Jakwob but also a young Canadian duo, Laurelle & Alexander. After meeting at the Whistler mountains the duo decided to create beautiful dream pop music together. What a wise decision. Their upcoming debut EP Life Underwater, is due to drop extremely soon and will showcase some pretty amazing material including the impressive Moon Kids, a Summeryelectro pop single with Laurelle’s soft vocals. Laurelle & Alexander are an energetic duo who met in the Whistler mountains. Both keen travellers, they decided to cross the globe and write music along the way. Now back in Canada, the pair are putting their dream wave tunes out into the ether. Having recently released their debut EP Life Underwater on Boom Ting Records they are now working on a a full length LP aptly named *Across Oceans* for release in 2013.
With sounds taken from indie-acoustic, electronica, funk, dance, jazz and psychedelica, they continue to experiment and collaborate with many artists to create a sound that doesn't limit them to any genre.
