"Mike & Maggie McKinney, Lucky Mud"

"Lauren Heintz is an awesome guitarist with a voice that comes from deep inside the songs she shares, but it is her grace onstage that connects her to her audience. And, for the time she is onstage, they are hers. Her concert at our series ended with a standing ovation and calls for more, and we'll welcome her back anytime." - Americana Under The Stars/Americana Cafe Sundays

"Judi Neal"

"The music of Lauren Heintz will transport you to another plane of existence. Her guitar playing is unbelievably beautiful and entrancing, like listening to a waterfall on a pool of bells. Her voice is rich and caressing, enticing you to hang onto every word. She can mesmerize, tantalize, hypnotize and melt you, and then she tickles your funnybone with her delightful humor. Lauren is one of the best and most original entertainers around, and not to be missed!" - Good Medicine House Concert Series

"Donna and Kelly"

"To compare Lauren's songs, voice and guitar playing to any other performer would be doing her a disservice. In our travels it is rare to find a voice that is truly unique and Lauren's voice, to us, is like a piece of exquisite dark chocolate rum cake served in Grandma's gold-rimmed china teacup on a platter lined with the finest velvet!" - Still on the Hill

"Ron Holm"

"Distinctive and masterful guitar style; compelling, engaging, and profound songwriting; one of the most intriguing and unique vocal talents ever. There's nobody I am more excited to book again than Lauren Heintz" - Musical Program Director, JustGoods Friday Concert Series.

"Allan Shaw"

"Seeing and hearing Lauren perform was a treat. I'm only sorry that I had not done so sooner. She sure has it all together - good guitar work, good singing and good songs. I'm looking forward to hearing more of her." - President, Folk Era/Wind River Records

Gatorbone Recording Artist, Lauren Nicole Heintz, has quite a story to tell. In January 2014, against stiff national-level talent and award-winning acts, Lauren amazed the judges and audience at the prestigious South Florida Folk Festival singer/songwriter competition and went home a winner of the 2014 Vic Heyman songwriting award. Just months earlier she won at the 2013 Walnut Valley Festival Song Contest in Kansas. She's also received honorable mentions at the Woody Guthrie Song Contest (2014) and the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest (2015) and placed three consecutive Top Ten songs at the Will McLean Song Contest in Florida (2013-2015), including a coveted third-place finish in 2015.

Becoming known for intricate and innovative finger-style guitar, distinctively deep vocals, and heartfelt original songs, Lauren performs across the country at house concerts, listening rooms, and festivals.

In 2016 she released her sophomore album, Where I Belong, which is targeted for radio airplay in February, 2016.

Lauren's musical roots came as a result of frequent living-room jam sessions by her parents in her Chicago-area childhood home. And it was the soulful music from such legends as Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard & Hank Williams that first inspired her to become a songwriter. Later it would be the Beatles, later still, Jim Croce, John Denver, Gordon Lightfoot, the Eagles.

Lauren graduated (1973) from Eustis High School, Florida and immediately joined the USAF, then later received her Bachelors of Science in Computer Science (University of Maryland, 1987), then spent the next fifteen years as a Software Engineer before outing herself as a singer/songwriter just after the turn of the century. Today, she lives in Central Florida.
