Across the Sound

Across the Sound is a Calgary-based Folk-Rock/Adult Alternative group comprised of the beautiful and fiery Laurene Palmiere (lead vocals), New York charmer Mark Cassano (guitar, vocals), stoic genius Cory Knutson (bass, backing vocals), and country gentleman Kevin Young (drums, percussion).

Inspired by honesty, courage and music that triggers an emotion is the essence to the group's writing and performing. Their songs are filled with authenticity that touches your heart and lyrics about experiences that audiences can relate to. Laurene and Mark share numerous powerful duets and the band as a whole are all genuine performers who are both refreshing and entertaining. The band perform original songs and unique covers from varying genres. They keep audiences captivated with their music, their stories, and their humor. They specialize in intimate settings such as house concerts and smaller venues, but enjoy the big stage as well.

aTs play what they love... their sound spans folk, rock, and country genres, and they put a distinct edge into everything the play. Their vibe emanates professional cool, they enjoy every moment they get to perform, and their positive energy is contagious - on stage and in the crowd.

Laurene is encouraged by her bandmates to promote her solo CD, Give It Time, as part of any of their performances. They have substantial original unrecorded material between them all and hope to soon have a collectively recorded compilation to promote the band. aTs
