Lauren Phillips

Hey everyone!!! My name is Lauren Phillips and I'm from Oak Lawn Illinois. I started playing music when I was in 8th grade so i would have to say 13 years old....which was along time ago. My mom told me when we were leaving the guitar shop the day I bought my first guitar, the man that rang us up yelled out the door , "There goes the next Sheryl Crow!!" Long story short here I am now currently recording my first EP down in Springfield,Ill with my favorite producer ever Jim Thompson!!!!! He has seriously taken my songs and made them come to life!!! College was awesome but thats just another chapter closed in my book and another has openned. Now Im just starting to play music everywhere and anywhere!!!! I believe that life is short and to just go with your gut! Take chances and have no regrets. Living in Chicago has been great but I think sunshine and nooooo cold weather is in my future!
