Laurie L.

Laurie expressed her love for music at an early age by singing and rapping at church, talent shows, school plays and often times just performed to entertain family & friends.

As a former member of the secular music groups "Ldajai" and "Mo Drama", Laurie has had the opportunity to perform at numerous venues in the Midwest, including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame; she opened The Annual Soul Day in 2000 with many of Motown's legends including The Contours and The Drifters.

She has also sung background vocals for many local artists including Godsun TMC and Mystory.

Laurie was an award recipient at the 1st annual Strictly Ministry award show on August 13, 2004. In March of 2005 she taped a recording for Nationally Televised Gospel Show Sing Sations on WGN (WB), in Chicago, Illinois, the show will air September 2005. Laurie was chosen as a finalist for the 2005 American Gospel Music Awards (AGMA's). In the summer of 2005 she traveled to Pennsylvania where she ministered on a cruise ship called "The Spirit of Philadelphia".

She hosts a monthly youth outreach program called "Hype 4 Christ" in collaboration with The Real Move. It is a monthly Holy Hip Hop Concert where she teams up with a host of fellow music ministers and brings the Word of God through music, dance and poetry. Laurie L. has answered The Lord's calling. She is spreading The Lord's message through the ministry of music. She is a member of Abundant Grace Fellowship where the Pastors are Darryl Harris and Jerry Birch.
