Bio

When Veronica Apunte’s family migrated from Ecuador when she was a baby, it did not occur to her family that one day she would be able to sing Cumbia, Rancheras, Baladas and Valas. Veronica’s father had taught his daughter how to sing and by the age of seven, Veronica was already on stage singing. Inspired by the late Selena, La Lupe, Rocio Durcal and compared by many to Jenny Rivera, Veronica takes pride in singing their songs.

Previously a publicist for 11 years, known as Vronica, she worked with Lady Grace from MTV, the Legendary Godfather of Rap, Spoonie Gee, as well as Fernando from Rosa and Skulls. Due to a major health scare in 2012, Veronica decided life is too short and wanted to reestablish herself in the music industry as a singer. As a young adult, she shared a stage with various artists such as Gilberto Santa Rosa, Coco Velez and Anita Lucia Proano, just to name a few. Going by the stage name “La Vero”, her music is filled with emotion such as passion, pain, resentment and strength. Veronica is able to captivate the audience by including them in her performances.

School talent shows only heightened the passion Veronica felt when she performed. From there she performed whenever she could, birthday parties, quinceaneras, engagement and wedding receptions. Moving forward in her career, Veronica hopes to take the industry by storm with her upcoming CD, in tribute to her parents and the artists that have influenced the adoration she has for music.
