Lavish is originally from the Capital City of Lansing, Michigan. Music has always been a part of Lavishs life. As a child he was inspired by the sounds of R&B legends Kool and The Gang. As he grew older, that love for music found its way to listening to Tupac and Notorious B.I.G. At the age of eleven, Lavish attended his first studio session with his older sister. She had stolen a key from her TV and Radio production class at her vocational school, just so she could record her younger brother. After rushing and completing a quick one hour session, Lavish couldn't wait to make this an everyday thing. From that day on he was sold on what he wanted to do with his life and future.

In 2004 Lavish relocated from Michigan to the "Palmetto State" of South Carolina. In 2005 Lavish and local artist Johnny Wish released "Change Da Game Vol. 1". He then followed that up by releasing his first solo album "Loyal to tha Streets later on that same year. In 2006 Lavish started his own company called Str8 Hood Entertainment. He then began working on his sophomore effort entitled "Life In Da Bricks", which was eventually released in April of 2007. The hit album Block Tested Hood Approved soon followed. In 2010 he released the mixtape and album titled Destined for Greatness which contained the hit single Famous that featured critically acclaimed R&B diva Jazmine Sullivan.

Lavish has opened up for acts such as Jim Jones, Nipsey Hustle, Dipset, Gorilla Zoe, Yo Gotti, Yung Berg, The Shop Boyz, Kia Shine, Lil' Boosie, Pastor Troy, and Slim Thug at various night clubs throughout the Midwest and southeast region. Now back in the Cap-City, he is now focused on making the jump from a regional artist to a national artist. He has joined forces with the production group We the Best Music Groups "The Chemist" and the down south beat maker SAS to bring you his latest mixtape titled EPIC hosted by the Souths mixtape king Chuck T scheduled for Spring 2012 release. This project is guaranteed to propel Lavish to the national level.
