LaVoria Reese and Purpose
For years LaVoria ministered on the radio as an announcer, with WYZE 1480 AM with a morning show entitled, "It's Judah Time with LaVoria". She is no stranger to theater. She has performed in plays such as "King of Glory" (8 years); "It Is Finished"; "He that Overcometh"; And She Shall Be Called Woman" and the list goes on.
LaVoria has shared the stage with many recording artist, such as Derrick Brinkley; Timothy Wright; Ricky Dillard; James Bignon; Dottie Peoples; Marvin Sapp; Vickie Winans; Byron Cage; Deitrick Haddon; L'Tanya Moore; and Kendall Hunter just to name a few.
LaVoria is the first place recipient of the 2003 Praise Discovery National Gospel Talent Search and Atlanta Gospel Choice Awards Nominee 2004 for "Best New Female Artist". LaVoria appearas on Atlanta Alive Channel 57 regularly and AIB (Atlanta Interfaith Boardcasting). LaVoria has also been given the opportunity to participate as a judge in the "The Gift", 2005 McDonalds Youth Talent Competition (Metro Atlanta). LaVoria toured to Italy, and Switzerland in recent years. Most recently LaVoria was Nomined for "Best Duo/Group with James Bignon for the Altanta Gospel Choice Awards 2009. She is a member of the Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA) Atlanta chapter and the American Society Of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP). !
She has already traveled worldwide and plans to continue evangelizing the gospel through song, encouraging people across race, cultures and denominations. LaVoria is preparing for her debut CD to be released entitled "It's Working 4 My Good", SOON topping the charts and blessing many souls.
