Bio

The most important thing about music is being able to feel what you hear. Well, Lawdi almost never had that opportunity. Born in Boston, MA, Lawdi faced the challenge of Bacterial Menigitis, which caused her to loose part of her hearing. Luckily, it didn't keep her away from her love for music. She grew up in the church, so music was always around her causing her to join the church's choir with her older sister. Music was her form of expression but always being into sports, Lawdi never took music as a serious career until her brother, Reddy Sauls, invited her to travel down from, Richmond, VA to Raleigh, NC, to get on a track called, "Hot Seat". Excited by the tracks outcome, Reddy encouraged Lawdi to keep coming up with new material, enabling an opportunity for her to get her own songs. Lawdi took his advice and ran with it, spending her time writing and producing her own material. She once proclaimed she wanted to be a Pop singer, so working through Hip Hop and R&B got her closer to her destiny. Reddy Sauls formed the label, KQ Records, and brought Lawdi under the helm, realizing her potential to be a special force in music. Reddy told her "you don't have to be vulgar with the language in order to be involved in Hip Hop", causing Lawdi to focus on bringing something positive to the music. KQ released their first album, Deadly Zins, as a concept dealing with the "7 Deadly Sins". Lawdi, along with Reddy and MG the Future, did 7 songs in 7 days, highlighting every sin, but KQ didn't stop there. With the help of DocSauls and Lawdi's work ethic, LawdiTunez was released in the beginning of August with her highlight tracks, "Little Things" and "FreezeNYourSystem". Lawdi's main goal is to give her best through music and express her love and passion. Although Lawdi is known as an Indie recording artist, she has continued to record music while becoming a radio personality/ deejay in September 2008 at WVCW Radio in Richmond, VA. Lawdi decided to join the station to promote other Indie artist throughout the US and eventually she expanded to Canada, Australia, Berlin and so forth. Due to the increase of listenership from September 2008 to December 2008, Lawdi decided she would blog about the artist she featured on her show as well as producers, deejays and promoters to supply a visual for her listeners to follow up on. Due to Lawdi’s passion for music and willingness to manage other artist, she became Vice President of Know Quality Records/Entertainment in November 2008. As time goes on, Lawdi has been writing and assisting in the production of several Independent artists throughout North Carolina. Lawdi did not stop there, she began to interact and become a spokesperson for several Indie artists all over the US. She began promoting and publicizing artist to key locations for exposure. As Lawdi began to build many public relations with artist, deejays, producers, and entertainment companies, Lawdi decided to build TZARA. TZARA is a consultant and publicist company bringing dreams to real life. The foundation for TZARA Inc. has been in place since February 2009, graciously, in May 2009 TZARA is now up and running. Lawdi as CEO has taken on full responsibilities to assure TZARA clients that Team TZARA will expand one’s brand. Currently, Lawdi is working with several new clients, deejays, artist and production companies as well as working on a mix-tape for summer promotions, while continuing interviews with Indie artist for WVCW Radio Show, iScream Truth, hosted by Lawdi the Ice Scream Lady.
