"IndieMix Radio"

"Not your common ground when it comes to hip hop, rather a sound that not only stands alone, but one that would not sound a bit out of place if played back to back with any one of the big names in rap today no matter where they hail from. LawMan Dia's raspy vocal style hits you in the face with a combination of techniques borrowed from old and new school that reflects the true future of hip hop. Pure, solid arrangements of Top 40 hit material" - Katrina Jackson/www.indemixradio.com

Bio

Chicagoan Lawman Dia is often referred to as one of the most talented, well-rounded artists of his time, as well as the true face of the future of hip hop. Building on influences from the east coast, west coast, and dirty south, Lawman has created a sound like no other - transcending "regional" barriers to create a true to form hip hop sound that is universally recognized and appreciated by all. In the beginning, Dia limited his performances to block parties, parks, and other neighborhood social events, but upon encouragement from his family, friends, and supporters, Lawman Dia decided to take his God given talent to another level.

LMD, as he is frequently referred to by the hip hop community, began his journey as a professional artist in 1996 by joining a group called "Mid-West Connect", based out of Kansas City and St. Louis, MO. LMD's solo song "All in a Night" quickly became a Midwestern favorite. However, Lawman felt that his fans wanted to hear music that had a more Chi-town vibe to it, so LMD left MWC and reconnected with some of his fellow Chicagoans. LMD began working on his solo project and completed his first solo album, which was never released due to inner conflict between Dia and other individuals featured on the album.

Throughout all of these changes, Lawman maintained a nice buzz through guest appearances on other artists' albums and mix-tapes. You can stilll locate unreleased LMD material on DJ Geno's as well as "The Members" mix-tapes in Chicago. Eventually, LMD realized that in order to achieve the kind of success he was striving for, he realized that he would need to take more creative control of the music and the business, thus, the birth of "The Wrath Entertainment Group". LMD would become the President and inaugural artist off of "The Wrath" label, and released his first official solo album with great anticipation from supporters. The majority of the album was produced by "RIO" from "Bobby Drake Productions", who produced Monica's hit single, "So Gone". Lawman set the bar high for other "Wrath" artists "Stack-a-Dolla" and "Cha-chee"

Lawman is currently in the studio working diligently on his solo album, which will follow a compilation by artists from "The Wrath". With a seamless combination of both book smarts and street smarts, LMD has always had the ability to captivate the street audience in a manner that all hip hop intellectuals can appreciate. Lawman has astonished the block, the neighborhood, and the city of Chicago, now he fiercely awaits his time to astonish THE WORLD with his music. Lawman Dia is sure to become a legend!
