Lawrence Roach

Born in Georgetown, Guyana, Lawrence Roach was destined to become a talented musician from the start. He began singing at the age of four and his love for stage performances blossomed into a lifelong love of music in every respect. With a number of performances under his belt at Guyana’s Town Hall, by his late teens, Lawrence was poised to take the music world by storm.

In 1989, Lawrence took his passion for music internationally and left his native Guyana to pursue his dreams on a larger scale. He moved to Canada where he continued performing concurrently while he trained and played along side with Met Peters Jazz Band in California. Additionally, he was a band member in the Melody Makers. His experiences developed his craft not only as a singer and stage performer but took on a new phase in his career adding songwriter, producer, composer and artist manager to his repertoire. And to add to his resume, Lawrence plays several instruments including the keyboard, drums and congas. Drawing from his aptitude for music, he continued his journey with performances in St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Antigua.

With influences like Quincy Jones, Garth Brooks, Prince, Kanye West, Shania Twain, Monica, Brandy and Jay-Z, it’s no surprise that his genre of music composition is comprised of cross-cultural influences such as R&B, soul, soft rock and reggae. Today, Lawrence is the proud owner of his very own entertainment company, Lawrence Roach Entertainment. Providing entertainment consulting for performing artists, stage management, artist management, event planning and coordinating, Lawrence Roach Entertainment is a full service entertainment company providing the best solution for all entertainment needs.

Over the years, Lawrence has expanded into all realms of entertainment. In fact his client rooster has increased tremendously consisting of singers, rappers, models, poets, entertainers and many others. In addition, he has organized and produced musical events such as Dazzling Impressions, a fashion show and live performance event in honor of various charity organizations including the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Diabetes Association, Hope for Health and Children’s Wish Foundation and The Annual Aggressive Awards, a talent show featuring Canada’s most talented upcoming artists. Also, he has joined in efforts to organize festival such as Toronto Carnival, Bramfest, and Carasauga. Lawrence’s accomplishments extend far and wide and his style of music captures his unique buoyant spirit and sensitive soul. His goal is to stay in touch with the changes in the entertainment industry and to continuously be involved in all phases of the industry.
